Cookies and Device Identifiers

This page lists every cookie and identifier 24 Frames uses on the website, in the creator studio and in the app. The short version: the public website sets no cookies. The studio sets two cookies that exist only to keep you signed in. The app keeps one random identifier on your phone so your home screen makes sense before you sign in. None of it is used for advertising or for tracking you across other sites or apps, so no consent banner is needed and we show none.
The website: no cookies
When you visit 24frames.co, including a watch page, our website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It loads no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts. It fetches the catalogue it needs to display and, on a watch page, asks our servers for permission to play. That is all.
The studio: two strictly necessary cookies
The creator studio and staff console need to know who you are from one page to the next. They use two cookies for that and nothing else.

Both are marked httpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read them, and both travel only over encrypted connections. They are "strictly necessary": without them the studio cannot work. They are not used for analytics or advertising. Signing out removes them.
The app: a device identifier
The app does not use cookies. It uses two identifiers:
- A device identifier for signed-out use. When you are not signed in, the app sends a random identifier (the
X-Viewer-Idheader) that it created and keeps on your phone. We use it to personalise home and search and to count plays before you sign in. It is not linked to your name or phone number, it is not an advertising identifier, and we do not share it. Once you sign in, requests are tied to your account instead. See the Privacy Policy, section 4. - An ad session identifier. While the app is open it holds a random ad session identifier in memory so frequency caps work within one sitting. It is never written to your phone's storage, it disappears when you close the app or sign out, and our servers forget it after one day.
What we do not use
No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics or crash-reporting software, no tracking pixels or social-media buttons, and no cross-site or cross-app tracking of any kind.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners let you refuse cookies that are not needed to run a service, such as advertising or analytics cookies. We set none of those. Everything on this page is either strictly necessary to keep you signed in or a device identifier that serves the app's own core purpose and is never shared. So there is nothing for a banner to ask. If that ever changes, we will update this page and ask you first.
How to clear them
- Studio cookies: sign out of the studio, or clear cookies for 24frames.co in your browser's settings.
- App identifiers: the device identifier lives only inside the app; uninstalling removes it, along with the app's cache, downloads, search history and drafts. The ad session identifier is gone as soon as you close the app.
